Product Manager Intern

Naboo is hiring!

About

Naboo’s corporate event concierge service enables the booking of venues, catering, transportation, team-building activities for everything from business meals to seminars to large-scale annual retreats.

The platform utilises AI in the back-end to automate any administrative and/or low value-added tasks through Tech and AI automation. It received its second funding round in 2023.

The event organisation space is ripe for disruption. Despite corporations increasing their event budgets, the sector remains anchored in outdated concierge models and software that hasn't evolved in decades.

Naboo is redefining this landscape by introducing automation that streamlines event planning while elevating the experience for organisers and attendees alike. By prioritising financial transparency and compliance, Naboo is not just making event management easier—it's setting a new standard for the industry.

There's been an explosion of team-building activities and in-person events due to the rise of remote work. It's all about fostering social interaction, creating a feeling of belonging, which engenders employee loyalty and commitment!

Job Description

About Us We are building a platform for organizing professional events where users can book a venue, catering, team-building activities, and transportation—all in one place. Today, there is no all-inclusive solution for professional group travel: it is the Product team's mission at Naboo to build it. In a nutshell: we strive to make very complicated processes very simple.

Naboo is scaling fast. We have secured our €20M Series B, established ourselves as a leader in France, and are now setting our sights on the US & UK markets. We are transitioning from a “move fast and break things” startup to a structured, world-class technology company.

The Role We are looking for a Product Manager Intern to join our 12-person Product team, working daily alongside our Tech team of 50 developers.

Main Responsibilities

1. Definition and Scoping (Shape)

  • Project Scoping: Collaborate with leadership teams and stakeholders to identify product needs and opportunities.

  • Breaking Down Projects: Deconstruct projects into clear, well-defined features while avoiding overly detailed specifications. Use the Shape Up model to "shape" projects aimed at a maximum six-week development cycle.

  • Risk & Constraint Identification: Analyze technical, human, and time constraints, and propose solutions to navigate them.

2. Planning and Coordination (Bet)

  • Project Prioritization: Work with teams to define priorities and select projects for the upcoming development cycle. Organize "bets" based on business value and feasibility.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Ensure alignment of priorities with internal and external stakeholders and meet their expectations regarding results and deliverables.

3. Development Supervision (Build)

  • Roadmap Management: Track project progress throughout the development cycle. Ensure objectives defined during the scoping phase are met, adapting priorities if necessary.

  • Collaboration with Dev Teams: Work closely with technical teams to guarantee the proper execution of features, facilitating communication and adjusting scope if needed.

4. Test and Iteration (Cool-down)

  • Feedback & Adjustment: Organize testing sessions to gather user feedback and work with the team to adjust features based on the results.

  • Continuous Improvement: Use feedback to fuel product thinking, propose evolutions or fixes, and iterate on successive versions of features.

5. Performance Tracking (Impact)

  • Product Performance Measurement: Define key KPIs to measure the impact of products and new features after production release.

  • Reporting: Regularly communicate project progress, test results, and product impact to internal stakeholders and leadership.

6. Innovation & Vision (Watch)

  • Anticipating User Needs: Monitor market trends, technological evolutions, and user needs to guide the product roadmap.

  • New Ideas: Propose new product or feature ideas that add value to both users and the company.

Preferred Experience

We are constantly looking for new talent to join the Product team, which is why we are interested in both junior and senior profiles (adapted for this internship role).

  • Project Management: Ability to write technical specifications on Linear/Jira.

  • Wireframing: Design of functional mockups on Figma.

  • Data Analysis: Creation of usage measurement dashboards on Mixpanel.

  • Tech Mindset: Appetite for technical subjects related to product architecture, creation of low-code/no-code solutions, and knowledge of Generative AI and its applications.

  • Intellectual Curiosity: Interest in Internet product culture (online communities, newsletters, podcasts, etc.).

  • Portfolio: Ability to demonstrate personal, academic, or professional projects ("show, don't just tell").

Recruitment Process

  1. A 30-minute video conference.

  2. A case study to be completed within 72 hours.

  3. A 1-hour on-site interview with the team at our offices.
